How do two artists work on the same project without killing each other?

Well, it helps if your partner in crime (and art) doesn't smell. It also helps that each artist has "turf," but in comics, you have to be flexible. It's more important that both collaborators share in process of telling stories. Art is about rising to meet challenges--you grow as an artist the more challenges you overcome.

Comics is a production. For Beautiful Scars we both plot, write, and rough out spreads. Ideally, Guin takes care of pencils, Durwin inks, Guin blocks in color, and Durwin shades. It seems like a lot of back and forth, but it's important to have that give and take.
